Origin
Sesame is grown in tropical and subtropical areas throughout the world, but mainly in Africa, South Africa and Central America.

Colour and flavour
Sesame oil has a nutty flavour. Sesame oil is yellow in colour and it has an aromatic odour.

Use
The nutty flavour of sesame oil makes it perfect as a lettuce oil for salads. It is therefore perfect for dressings or marinades. Sesame oil can also be used for sautéing, frying or flash frying. Just a couple of drops are needed to give dishes an extra aroma. It tastes fantastic in noodle dishes.
